Taking Chances

Is anyone’s life risk-free? An emotional story about a girl wanting to save her dad from danger.

The father of a 9-year-old Kiek works as a doctor for The Red Cross. When he gets placed in Afghanistan the girl worries about him enormously. One of the teachers at school tells her about the probability theory. She calculates what are the chances of her dad’s survival. She and her friend figure out that the number of misfortunes must me somehow limited in a way that one cannot possibly have a dead mouse, dead dog and a dead father all at the same time. All she has to do is find a mouse and a dog. It proves to be more difficult than it could seem…
